the waste recycling process

collection

The first step of the process is waste collection. We accomplish this through various means. However, most of our waste comes from sites that we clean up or from donations.

the waste is then separated by plastic rating and cleaned before being processed. This includes removing any labels and possible contaminants.

After being properly cleaned, the waste is then cut into smaller more user-friendly pieces and prepared for the remolding process.

The plastic is then remolded and pressed into different shapes for reuse. The entire process is safe and non toxic as the plastic is not liquified. It is simply reheated to make allow it to be shaped into something new.

With the right equipment, the options are quite extensive for the items that can be made out of reclaimed plastic. With proper fundraising, we hope to acquire this equipment so that we can process and create even more useful items.
